As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an Internal Audit Manager to lead and further develop our internal audit vertical. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and high-profile clients across the payments, e-money, and crypto sectors, delivering high-quality, risk-based internal audit and advisory services.

Your Role with Us

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client engagements, leading audit teams, and delivering value-adding insights that strengthen governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks. You will also contribute to the strategic growth of the internal audit function, including client relationship management and business development initiatives.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead and manage internal audit engagements from planning through to reporting and follow-up
  • Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans aligned with client priorities
  • Provide practical, business-focused recommendations to enhance controls, governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Contribute to the growth of the internal audit practice, including supporting new business opportunities
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • Deliver clear, concise, and impactful reporting to senior management and Boards/Audit Committees
  • Support clients in preparing for regulatory interactions and strengthening their control environments
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices within financial services

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in internal audit, preferably within financial services, advisory, or a regulatory environment
  • Professional qualification in accounting, financial services, or an equivalent discipline
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management, and audit methodologies (including IIA Standards)
  • Experience working with MFSA-regulated entities, including payment institutions and electronic money or crypto-asset service providers, is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in managing client engagements and delivering high-quality audit outputs
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to business growth
  • High level of integrity, objectivity, and professional judgement
